How to fully automate business tasks with an AI agent, 24/7
Updated 10/16/2026
An AI agent like Claude Code or Codex can do far more than chat: it can open websites, read email, fill spreadsheets and write reports. The problem is that on your computer it only runs while the lid is open. On an AgentBox, the agent has its own cloud computer and works around the clock.
1. Scheduled tasks: the basic automation
On the server's AgentBox tab, under Tasks, you describe a job in plain words and pick a schedule. Examples that work well from day one:
- Inbox summary, daily at 18:00: the agent reads the new mail and sends you a short report of who wrote and what they want.
- Page watch, weekly: the agent opens your suppliers' pages, compares prices with last week and lists the changes.
- Morning briefing at 08:00: what happened yesterday on the box, which tasks failed, what awaits an answer.
The form ships with ready-made templates, so your first task is two clicks and a schedule. Every run's result reaches you by email or Telegram.
2. Webhooks: data that arrives on its own
Serious automation starts when data comes to you. Every AgentBox has its own HTTPS webhook: your CRM, a contact form or any other system posts leads and orders straight to your server. Deliveries queue there, and a scheduled task processes them: the agent reads the lead, researches it, drafts the reply and logs everything.
3. The journal: nothing twice, everything verifiable
The agent keeps a journal of its actions on the box: every processed lead, every email sent, every file created. Before acting it checks the journal so nothing is repeated. You see the same journal in the console's activity feed, so you know exactly what your agent did today without opening a terminal.
4. When something goes wrong
A site being down no longer means a failed task: the agent schedules its own retry two hours later and leaves itself a note for the next run. And when it hits a login or a 2FA code, it never tries to get around it: your phone gets a screenshot and a link straight into the live desktop, you solve it in seconds, and the agent continues where it stopped.
Why this does not work the same on your computer
You can run the same agents locally, but real automation needs continuous presence: the webhook must answer at 3 AM, the 08:00 task must run while you are on holiday. An AgentBox is exactly that: the agent's always-on machine, billed by the hour, backed up nightly. See also the getting-started guide.
